CDG Foundation in partnership with the Mohammed VI Microfinance Solidarity Support Centre and the Jaïda Fund, on December 3, 2015 at the headquarters of the CDG, hosted the financial aid awards ceremony for the 32 Micro-Entrepreneurs selected under the support program for innovative IGA (income-generating activities) in Morocco via micro-credit.
After four shows of the same type, all by men, Carte blanche is given this year to a woman, Amina Benbouchta, a very committed artist, with a rich and remarkable artistic career, to lead an exhibition at the Art Gallery Espace Expressions CDG alongside four talented and promising female visual artists and others of her choice.
Since its inauguration in 2010, the 3Espace Expressions CDG3 has hosted various exhibitions of different styles (visual art, sculpture, photography, serigraphy ...) and artistic trends (figurative expressionism ...), obeying the artistic concepts that the CDG Foundation has stipulated to mark the positioning of its art gallery, and calling on the creativity of artists of many persuasions and different generations, different artistic profiles.
CDG Foundation, which is an incubator and supporter of innovative cultural projects, wanted in 2015 to honour an artistic discipline as a whole, the art of sculpture. Sculpture is a form of artistic creation that has an important place in the national and international art scene, and one that is becoming more and more popular through providing a whole range of options in regard to the use of various kinds of materials.
The CDG Foundation has sponsored the annual Argana International Poetry Prize since 2008. The Prize is awarded in recognition of the contributions by poets of various nationalities, and the CDG Foundation took part in the award ceremony on Saturday 14 February 2015 that was part of the 21st Salon International de l’Edition et du Livre de Casablanca (Casablanca International Publishing and Book Fair, SIEL).
Music intercalated by moving personal accounts marked the Friday, 13 February 2015 at the Presentation and Dedication Ceremony for the book produced in homage to the artist Malika Agueznay and her long and productive artistic career.
The book, produced by the CDG Foundation and the ONA Foundation, is a true retrospective that turns the spotlight on one of the most innovative artists on the Moroccan arts scene and a pioneer, if not the pioneer, for Moroccan women artists.
