Atlantic free zone
Atlantic Free Zone is one of the first integrated latest generation industrial developments, where big names in the sector have settled, such as the U.S.’s Lear and the Japanese Fujikura.
The Atlantic Free Zone project is part of the National Pact for Industrial Emergence for the construction of a strong industrial sector. Its main objective is to formalize what Morocco can offer and to capture investment, both domestic and foreign, while concentrating the efforts and investments of the State in a global business such as the automotive industry.
The Atlantic Free Zone site is about ten kilometers east of the city of Kenitra, in the municipality of Amer Saflia and is strategically located between two major regional centres, Casablanca and Tangier. The site enjoys excellent connectivity; and is supported by excellent road, rail and air infrastructure.
Atlantic Free Zone is one of the first integrated sectoral latest generation industrial developments. It targets industry sectors, including:
- Automotive equipment
- Activities related to exports
- Industrial logistics
- Support services (maintenance, office parks, business centres, etc.).
This park is divided into two independent areas:
- A duty-free zone of 198 ha.
- A free zone of 147 ha.

- An electronics city and high-tech zone
- A logistics area
- An administrative area
- Public facilities and proximity to shops and services
- Hotels, restaurants and exhibition centre
